(MIDLAND, ON) A two vehicle property damage only crash in Tiny Township near 6:29 p.m. on April 2, 2025, led officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to attend and enter into an impaired driving investigation.
Officers located an involved vehicle in the nearby area away from the crash scene and spoke with the driver and a investigation was commenced.
As a result, 56 year old Marc David ROBITAILLE of Tiny Township has been charged criminally with the following offences.
Dangerous operation
Operation while impaired alcohol
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
And Further Provincial Offences Of
Fail to surrender insurance card
Entire plate not plainly visible
The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on the April 17, 2025, and was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension. The involved vehicle was towed and subject to a 7 day vehicle impound in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.
